The Keys Are Within Us

Bright blue and violet shining cosmic lightburse

Since I started my practice in 1998, one of my central guiding principles has been that the keys to our healing are within each of us. Now, after over 15 years of work in the healing arts, this seems more true than ever to me.

Somehow, long before I was able to enter the field of healing work, the seeds of who I would become were there. The images are the greatest clue. Despite the long and winding road to get there (see When Life Is Like A Labyrinth for the rest of that story), everything that showed up in my inner world nearly 25 years ago is consistent with who I am today.

  • In my work with EFT and hypnotherapy, I guide inner child healing work of all kinds. Sometimes this includes inner journeys like the one I took for myself over and over, which led to the paintings.
  • With my blend of EFT and personal imagery, which I call Inner Theater, we engage with the subconscious and the realm of imagery. This is a rich inner world and, when images transform as they do with tapping, the problems transform too.
  • In all my work, I see myself as a companion and a guide. My Forest of the Invitation painting, which is currently on the wall in my office beside the comfortable recliner, really does reflect the work I do today.

I am grateful to be a part of the healing arts community and thank you for reading my story!

With gratitude to some of my key guides and helpers on the journey:

  • Marjorie Skott, my Jungian analyst
  • Jean Guenther, my Psychosynthesis Teacher and Guide
  • Blake Gould, my friend and colleague, a gifted acupuncturist and healing arts practitioner
  • Gary Craig, whose gift of EFT tapping is changing the world
  • Marilyn Gordon, the transformational hypnotherapist and teacher who has inspired me deeply
